How to access your router from your windows PC using CMD?

Windows has many optional-features which we still don’t know and mostly those features is not enabled out of the box. But here today I will show to by enabling an optional features how can you access your router in cmd.

So lets dig-in.

The very first thing you have to do press WIN+R in the keyboard which will popup a tiny windows left bottom corner of the screen and in that search box you have to type “optionalfeatures” and hit enter.

After that it will pop up another window in the in few seconds as called ‘windows features”. As shown in the image below.

Now scroll down in that list and search for “Telnet”.

The “telnet” box will not enabled by default so click on the tiny box and click on. It will take few seconds to applying the settings.

No just open CMD make sure you are running it as administrator and type “telnet and the IP address of your router” which is usually now hit enter and in the second line it will ask you about the routers login details. Put your login details and hit enter. Done
