Powerful phones are pretty common these days all manufacturers are doing this. But we need something new and for new things, I always like this company called Huawei and sub-brand honor. Yeah, you all already heard this name, the company put so much efforts to build a phone. From the Leica optics to the stunning glass back I have ever seen on any phone.

Honor is an experimental company, they experiment a lot with their devices and this time they have just dig a hole on the display for the camera and said no to bezels.

I’m talking about the honor V20. I know I know it’s nothing new to talk about this phone because you have already watched thousands of videos on youtube and went through many articles. So today in this article I’m going to talk about how much effort honor could make with this device and should you buy this phone.

Let’s dig in

Honor V20 is one of the newest phone and one of the first phones in the mobo industry which has in display front camera for reducing bezels as much as possible. If we check the specs you will know that this phone has flagship-grade hardware under the hood.

The honor V20 comes with a 6.4ich full HD+ display but still unsure of what kind of display protection they used. Under the hood, there are very powerful silicon kirin 980 chipsets. This is one of most powerful chipset currently in the industry along with Apple’s A12. Kirin 980 is an octa-core processor the first four powerful based on Arm A76 architecture which is clocked at 2.8Ghz and other efficient cores are based on A55 architecture clocked at 1.8Ghz and the most important thing is the kirin 980 fabricated on the 7nm process which its make one of the best chip currently on the market for now. Along with the chip therein Mali-G76 graphics on the board. There are two variants available of phone 6/128GB and 8/256GB and no support of micro-SD card.

I always get excited to talk about the phone cameras and when it comes to honor I get much more. The V20 has a massive 48Megapixel rear camera with the aperture of f/1.8 and the secondary camera has a replace with a 3D depth sensor and LED flash, a bigger pixel in the back and also won’t miss in the front. The V20 has a 25Megapixel front camera which is just under the display. The rear cameras are included with AI support and the kirin 980’s new NPU (neural processing unit) helps cameras to better scene detection and good reproduction of colors, also the rear camera support night shots.

The battery pack is also huge like other honor phones which are 4000Mah support fast charging using USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. In day to day performance these phones look good for almost all kind of users. If you are heavy user you can do almost everything on this phone, if you are a photographer and mostly you take photos from your phone just like me then this phone is for you, if you gaming a lot then also this phone for you, and more lastly if you don’t like to charge your phone twice in a day then this is the phone for you.

You might think that one plus is a better choice but I like to say that was your only choice. Because this phone directly means to complete with one plus 6T. In some aspects, both phones are a little bit different but mostly these two are the closest phone we can compare.

As I mentioned before I will tell you should you buy this phone? I will say definitely yes. But wait for a second before you order. The only complain I have about this phone is the magic OS honor’s own UI and if you can sacrifice it then go for it.

Amazon India buying link is here. Price starts from Rs.37,999/-  ($540) for 6/128GB variant.
