Motorola EDGE+ and EDGE. Does it make sense this year?

Finally, Motorola makes a device that can match the generation but still, it doesn’t make sense. Because if you check the pricing that will be close to $1000 for the bigger version Motorola EDGE+. and yes that phone has some good specs but the pricing of the EDGE version is not confirmed yet and if they price it between $300-450 then it will be fine, but I don’t think so that gonna be happen here. I still expect they would set the price between $500-650 and it doesn’t make sense.


If you are correctly observing the current situation of the phone industry then in just $400 you can get very good devices, the last week Apple launched iPhone SE which is just cost $399. following that the Oneplus 8, and there are lots of new Xiaomi devices are coming with better value.

Let’s not talk about the Pricing and take a look at the specs.

Motorola Edge+ packs a curved 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. It is powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 SoC, ticking alongside 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The storage type is UFS 3.0 so you will get faster file sharing.

While the EDGE comes with the same display but It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC that is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and the storage type retains to UFS 2.1.

On the camera department, both phones have almost the same camera but the EDGE+ sightly go ahead with its 108MP main camera which can record videos on 6k. The following lenses 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 117-degree field of view. Lastly, there is also an 8-megapixel telephoto camera that comes with OIS support and provides a 3x optical zoom output. Motorola has also provided a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor. There is a 25-megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.0 aperture and 0.9-micron pixel size.

Both phones come with 5G supported (which will be the plus point for MOTO lovers) and with the massive battery 5000mAh on the EDGE+ and 4500mAh on EDGE. Both support fast charging and the EDGE+ also goes ahead with Wireless and Reverse charging.
